  ESTUARY is the final album from the Sanctuary Trio. Christoph Both, cello, Peter-Anthony Togni, piano and organ, and Jeff Reilly, bass clarinet.
  
  Estuaries are complex and beautiful places, representing subtle transition zones between many types of aquatic environments. Ever changing with the tides driven by the sea, these deep waters and hidden currents harbour associations with unexpected discoveries, embedded within the powerful flow of time.
  
  ESTUARY reflects and comments, in broad musical terms on these special transitory places.
  
  The Sanctuary Trio, based in Nova Scotia, Canada presents a unique form of contemporary music that is rich, intense and lyrical. Much of their music is drawn from Gregorian Chant, but that is mainly a point of musical departure.
  
  The trio extends these ancient materials through improvisation, extended instrumental techniques and the use of contemporary music's formal language to create a new form of contemplative plainsong for the 21st century.
